PokerTime review

A member of the battle hardened and universally recognized Prima Poker network, PokerTime looks like a high-profile online poker destination from just about any angle. Sure, they may not have the ultra-high player traffic that some of the top poker rooms boast, but give them time, they’ll make progress.
At the time I logged into their room (which was by and large during European peak hours), there were 10 thousand and some players at their tables, and that’s counting both tournament and cash game players. You’ll probably run into difficulties finding opponents for a game of 7 Card Stud, but the way I see it: that number practically guarantees that you’ll find Texas Holdem action at any limit. High stakes action is quite reasonable as well.

Don’t count out the Stud tables yet either. The way these guys are moving and with the kind of promotions that they’re running, bigger player traffic is sure to bring about more exotic poker-variant action soon. Oh yeah, and guess what? PokerTime accepts US players.

Their software is powered by the reputable Prima Poker Microgaming engine. The graphics has been whipped into shape recently and the whole getup is solid like a block of concrete. It works well under all circumstances, and it has all the necessary statistics handy whenever you need them. Game variety is rather nice too, again, not so much outstanding but solid: Texas Holdem, Omaha, and Stud are offered in all formats, and all limits.

The sign up bonus that they offer is pretty solid too. It is unlocked by generating poker points through real money play in cash games and tourneys. The redemption rate is reasonable, the 90 days bonus validity shouldn’t sound alarming. The bonus is unlocked in smaller batches and you will get your hands or at least a part of it even if everything goes wrong.
PokerTime’s tournaments are popular and they provide great action all the time. Their promotions include a Bad beat jackpot and a complete satellite and sub-satellite system for the Irish Open, which rewards winners with packages that include the buy-in, airfare and plenty of spending money.

All this sounds excellent so far, but wait: I left the best for last intentionally. What do you reckon the best thing is about PokerTime? The fact that they give their players a VIP deal, what else?

That way, taking advantage of the excellent PokerTime VIP offer, you’ll be able to enjoy everything presented above while paying less for it.

As a smaller operation, PokerTime simply cannot afford to have a half-hearted support system.. They’re reachable through email, phone, live chat, and they could probably be reached by carrier-pigeon service too if it weren’t so darn slow and unreliable.

Account security is great and cashing out speed is very competitive as well.
